The Smart Living and Health Center is Germany's most modern advisory and information center for home care and independent living. It offers older and very old people, those in need of care, caregiving relatives, and professional caregivers the opportunity to experience and try out everyday aids and technical assistance systems, from market-ready products to prototypes, in a model apartment.

The SLHC e.V. is part of the Haus der Zukunft at the UKB and operates the Smart Living & Health Center there.
