Leading trade fair for the care industry back in Nuremberg

ALTENPFLEGE from April 25 to 27

Nuremberg – Following its premiere in Essen in 2022, ALTENPFLEGE – the leading international trade fair for the care industry – returns to the Nuremberg Exhibition Center from 25 to 27 April. Approximately 560 exhibiting companies present the latest products, services, developments, and trends for the inpatient and outpatient care industry. This year’s motto: “Shaping care. WE. TOGETHER.”

ALTENPFLEGE is the industry’s leading event for Germany and its neighboring countries and covers the following topics:

Hall 7 at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center hosts three exhibition sectors. Care & Therapy covers care aids, care equipment, occupational therapy and care therapy as well as digital technologies and robotic systems. Catering & Housekeeping features kitchen equipment, nutrition, economic supplies, disinfection, cleaning technologies, laundry equipment, waste disposal and equipment, and textile cleaning. Occupation & Education focuses on training, continuing education and personnel recruitment and hosts associations, institutions and care facilities. It also offers a wide range of specialist literature.

Next door, in Hall 7A, the trend topic IT & Management presents to visitors the latest billing and nursing software, IT systems, digital solutions for organization and administration, and supporting technologies for both management and nursing staff.

Hall 9 is the location of the Space & Technology area, which displays facilities, architecture, facility management, energy, building and communications technology, logistics, open spaces and outdoor facilities.

Trend topics this year include the latest developments in telematics infrastructure (TI), which will soon play a crucial role in care. In 2024, home and inpatient care facilities must introduce mandatory procedures such as “communication in medicine”. This poses major challenges for many companies, but new services and applications also promise to ease the burden. At ALTENPFLEGE, many exhibiting companies  present solutions from the TI sector and introduce the healthcare platform of the future.

ALTENPFLEGE concentrates not only on innovative products and services, but also on fostering continuing education, training and knowledge exchange in the care sector. Its comprehensive conference and lecture program includes specialist forums where exhibitors present current trends and developments, a main stage for expert panel discussions and a congress with 30 talks about current topics. FOKUS Fleet highlights innovative mobility solutions and efficient fleet management, including the newest electric and hybrid models, conventional vehicles, service and financing concepts, fleet software and tour planning tools.

FOKUS Quartier, a mix of discussion rounds and product presentations, targets sponsors, operators, municipalities, urban planners and the real estate industry. Topics include technical solutions for optimizing senior living conditions as well as concepts for age-appropriate and livable neighborhoods of the future.
