The industry’s annual event — the ALTENPFLEGE 2013 Management Congress, featuring an array of new and established offerings — takes place in Nuremberg from April 9 to 11, 2013. Some 40 presentations geared to decision-makers from the stationary and outpatient nursing care sector will highlight all the major issues, at the same time guaranteeing a high degree of practical relevance.

Whether it involves strategies for HR recruitment, updates on legal issues, helpful hints on per diem rate negotiations or best-practice examples — established experts will inform you about everything of interest to the industry which is important for its success. Guaranteed practical usefulness at a high level!

New this year: Every day the congress will be kicked off by a “power presentation” covering both stationary and outpatient management issues. Afterwards, attendees can choose between four congress channels — two stationary channels, one outpatient channel, and a day-long special topic — each featuring three in-depth presentations. This year the focus is on purchasing strategies, residential and “outpatientisation” concepts and intensive care.

Your ticket to the Management Congress entitles you to attend all presentations, allowing you to put together your own personal programme, based on your own information needs and the special focus of your institution. We also encourage you to go “presentation-hopping” at the event!

Another new feature this year involves our guided tours of the ALTENPFLEGE 2013 exhibition. Three guided tours covering selected themes are available at the end of each daily Congress session. The respective exhibitors will provide you with the right contact partner to get targeted information and straight answers to your questions.

Care Congress

Welcome to the Care Congress at ALTENPFLEGE 2013!

Once again the editorial staff at Altenpflege magazine has put together an interesting and varied programme geared to professional nursing care staff and managers at the Care Congress, running from April 9 to 11 at the ALTENPFLEGE 2013 exhibition at Nuremberg, Germany.

Key topics: HR Management, Geriatric Psychiatry, Palliative Care
The Congress is dedicated to the complete spectrum of nursing care — but also features three special-focus themes. Consisting of three presentations each, the themes are “HR Management” (day 1), “Geriatric Psychiatry” (day 2) and “Palliative Care” (day 3). The presentations will provide attendees with the opportunity for in-depth discussion and analysis.

Workshops: Further education in a small-group setting
In addition the Congress features special workshops on all three days devoted to topics of interest to managers of nursing care service providers and residential units. Here you can network with other specialists in small-group settings, discussing topics like “Business Management for Care Service Providers” or “Strategic Service Plan Scheduling”, allowing participants to brainstorm on concrete solution approaches.

New: Guided tour of exhibition
For the first time you also have the opportunity to cap off the Congress by taking a guided tour of the ALTENPFLEGE 2013 exhibition. Three guided tours are available daily, consisting of the “Nutrition” tour, the “Computerisation of Care Services” tour or the “Furnishing and Outfitting” tour. Choose the one that interests you most and see all the latest innovations at the stands of selected exhibitors. A guide will provide you with further information and an overview of what’s going on at the show.

Daily Congress opening session to “kick-start” the day
Each day of the Congress will feature an opening session consisting of inspiring and informative “power presentations”, each one beginning at 9:30 a.m. The featured speakers are Michael Wipp, Erich Schützendorf and Siegfried Huhn — three of the industry’s leading names.
